When the tree swallows arrive and the shad blossoms burst open, that's when we know spring is back! This much anticipated yearly event was front and center in my mind as I drew the rough sketch for this block print, mostly because we were in the thick of it at the time! From my studio window I could see the white shad blossoms on the mostly still bare trees along the river which created a backdrop to the swirling aerial antics of the just returned shimmering blue tree swallows. This is a limited edition, signed, numbered, and titled original block print, hand carved and hand printed in oil based inks on heavyweight archival BFK Rives paper. About 12.5"x10".
