This is an original 6 color reduction block print titled The Hermit Thrush Sings Color. I was inspired to create it this spring, when the hermit thrushes were returning from their wintering grounds and announcing their arrival with their hauntingly beautiful songs. The swirly curving lines, textural carve marks, and fantastical color palette work to convey the magical quality of these lovely little birds and the woodlands they inhabit.

There are only 16 of these prints in existence so this is a very limited edition. Each one is signed, numbered, and titled. The printed image measures 10"x8"  and, with the borders, the paper measures 14"x11". I hand printed this in Caligo oil based inks on heavyweight, French made BFK Rives paper. It ships in a clear acid free sleeve with heavy weight backing to ensure damage free delivery.
