Carolina wrens and their oh-so-cheery cry of "tea kettle! tea kettle! tea kettle!" are one of the things that makes the long, dark winters a bit more bearable. I am always brightened by their optimism!

Using a puzzle piece process, in which I cut the wren and teacup bit out of the block, carved designs into the background piece, and inked both up separately before putting them back together, allowed me to print two different colors at once. The printed image is 8"x6" and is printed on acid free banana paper, 11"x8.5".
