Australian pelican IPA is one of the beers from award winning Red Clover Ale Co, and it’s also the bird featured in this commissioned reduction print for their can label. Now it’s available here as part of my limited edition series, ready to frame.

This print was created using the very old method of reduction printing, in which a single linoleum block is hand carved further away with each color printed. The inked block is printed directly on top of each preceding color and the carved design must align precisely with what’s already been printed. The more colors, the more chance for mistakes and misprints. Once an edition is complete it can never be printed again since the block has been carved away.

Details: This print measures about 5”x7” and is one of only 20 prints made. It  was hand printed in Caligo inks on heavyweight BFK Rives paper, is signed, titled, numbered, and ready to frame.
